Dr Tom graduated from the Sydney Medical School (University of Sydney) in 2012 where he also completed Bachelor of Medical Science and Master of International Public Health degrees. His international public health studies focussed on primary care HIV & sexual health program development in resource-constrained settings, and international humanitarian disaster response. He relocated to Melbourne in 2013 to undertake his postgraduate training in General Practice for which he was awarded The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Richard Clinton Gutch Medal.
Dr Tom has additional qualifications and special interests in HIV care, LGBTIQ+ health, sexual health and viral hepatitis care. When not seeing patients in Melbourne, he works in international development primarily in the Asia-Pacific region, and on projects improving efficiencies in medical care through the use of unobtrusive technology.
